Released for almost two months already, Grounded is preparing to welcome its 1.1 update which will bring new content, but also features requested by players to make the experience even more comfortable.
An update full of new features
It is through a press release that Obsidian announced a good part of the elements that will soon arrive in the game. Thus, we learn that the little beings will be able to benefit from an additional line of inventory, allowing then to wear 10 additional items. It will unlock automatically when players launch the game.
To avoid players spending time assigning equipment to the “Pocket” bar (the shortcut bar), two more rows will be added. Thus, players will only have to select from the inventory the one that interests them.
New decorative elements will also be included. In particular, we can see in the teaser the presence of a chair made from Koi scales.
Finally, the studio has worked on two features that will delight players. Although it is possible to craft equipment directly from components in chests, the construction system requires you to carry the boards and components on your person. This will soon only be the case, the constructions will go directly to draw from nearby chests and pallets.
Finally, the zip lines will benefit from the ZIP.R improvement, allowing them to be taken up in the other direction! However, you will have to find it during your adventure.
For the moment, no release date of the update has been communicated. However, you can already whet your appetite thanks to a weekly meeting that will take place every Wednesday on the Obsdian Twitch channel, allowing you to discover these additions in more detail. The first episode has already aired this week.
Grounded is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It is of course included in Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
